No LED

After about 12 months I dug my megajolt out of the cupboard. Couldn't remember where I go to, so re-tested all the voltages & all was okay. Fitted the IC's & connected it to my PC & power source on the bench, the LED does not light up but there is 4.98V across the terminals of it. The KP...

Thanks Ken

Spoke to the guy who produces these & you're exactly right, the bottom picture is how he described it, you use the washers to get the gap correct.

Thanks guys I thought that was the case, but the kit came with no instructions. There is a spacer plate but without it the pickup is too close. Maybe it isn't a spacer but an extra support & it goes the other side of the bracket & a washer will give the correct clearance. I'll try to have an...

Trigger Wheel & PIckup Install A-Series

Bought a toothed pulley & mounting bracket off ebay for the A-Series engine. Got round to fitting it today but concerned the pickup is too far away from the teeth, in hindsight I should have measured the gap, but for reference the nut is a 10mm http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j81/gsx550es/Mega...

I dropped a trigger ring & pulley off the other day to have a step machined in the pulley to accept the trigger ring. When I dropped it off I asked them to align the missing tooth at TDC. Then I started thinking that if i couldn't fit the VR sensor at exactly 90 degrees i would be stuffed. So I ...

Just looked at the KAD one found it in another post, you're right £160 plus postage is expense, I turned my nose up at £129 including postage from Specialist Components. Mini pulleys is on £38 with bracket another £38. Seen the Trigger Wheels one as well but they have to be welded to an existing pul...

Can I ask what you have done about your trigger wheel, I was going to get one machine by www.mini-pulleys.com but can't get any response from them.

Using a 30W iron is that suitable sorry if it's a dumb question but as I say this is all new & quite exciting to me, especailly if it all works. Done the next section & tested voltages, all the same so tomorrow I will install the active components (MAP). Just got to sort out a pully, it's go...

Voltage across IC1

My kit arrived the other day & I've started to put it together, never done any electronics at all before. Soldered the first few items as per the HowTo & then have checked the voltages. I am using an AT PC power supply which is putting out 11.69 volts, all the 5.0V are correct but across IC1...
