The trigger wheel is a bolt on to the damper on some V6 engines. Can't remember if you need a 'torx' or allen key to remove it. Check early/mid 90 Taurus, Aerostar(?), Mustang....

Also, I don't think it's been noted that there is a second VR sensor in the head of the 1.9 L Escorts......
