im not sure if its oem or not, all i know is that its obviously variable reluctance, but does not look the same as the ones which are usually used or got with the edis kits. Here is a link if ur interested, http://www.kad-uk.com/crank-sensor.htm

I think i may have solved the problem, and i think it was the VR sensor, as i swapped it out and the car has been fine today! Funny tho as the sensor was new from KAD with their kit!
Neways thanks for all the help

Could it be that the edis module is faulty?? as it is now ...

Ye i thought it might be the pip / saw signal aswel, but i wasnt sure why it would be under those exact conditions! Im actually running map sensor..... so is it likely that its the wiring for the pip signal?

Thanks

Wierd Signal / cutting out problem while driving help!

Ok got the mj unit running again, and have been out for a drive, just before 2k revs and with a load of 85-100 its almost as if the signal cuts out, with the laptop running it shows that the timing snaps to the lowest bin, i.e. top left, which in my case is 16 deg, and sits at about 1700 revs. Can a...

cheers guys, the car runs on limp home at 10 deg, so im guessing its a problem with the megajolts itself, or the pip, saw or power cables. Will the burnt out track mean that something will have been damaged??? is there a way of testing with voltages etc.

Then later on when i try again the car will start, and i cant find any dodgy wiring. So i looked at the bosard itself and have found that the track...

i think that mini pulleys is offline for a while, i also couldnt get hold of them at the time. i was told that the person who runs it, tom, is having a few problems with stuff at the moment so is not running mini pulleys at the moment, which is why i went to kad.

because im rele lazy and had just got paid at the time, i ended up getting the kad crank sensor kit, but its incredible pricey. probly not worth it. the other way to do it is to buy the trigger wheel and fit it to a 1275 crank damper and make a bracket yourself. If you go to minifinity.com in the te...
