ok, resolved, looks like coils A & B were firing the wrong way round

I have connected coil pack number 1 to spark number 1, far right of mini engine.

And then the coil pack numbers 2, 3, 4 to sparks 2 3 4 numbering from the right.

I have finally had the time to install my MJ and got it all fitted this afternoon to my mini, MG 1275 standard angine. First I fitted the crank sensor and started the car on the coil and dizzy and the laptop read back the rpm. I then removed the dizzy and coil and fitted the rest of the EDIS4 setup....
