Do you have any more info on the spec of the engine you're trying to set up?

What carbs? What cam? What exhaust? Has it had head work? etc.

This may make it easier to advise.

Mk2 Escort

I finished installing MegaJolt on my Escort about six months ago and am only just getting round to posting some photos. I use the car on the road and for sprint and hillclimb competition. The engine is a tuned 1300 crossflow (cam, single Weber 45, Big Valve Head, etc.) which I built with my dad a ye...

I notice that from elsewhere that you have just got a TPS from a Fiesta. It will only rotate one way, so will need to be mounted on a particular side of the carb to suit it's direction of rotation. I made this mistake with my first on and had to go back to the scrappie to get on that turned the othe...

I changed to side draft just before going MegaJolt, so I haven't actually done what you are asking. My initial idea would be to mount a bracket to the top flange of the carb (where the air filter mounts), although I'm not sure how to extend the throttle spindle. These are only from looking at pictur...

Question to people with a Ford Crossflow

My install is getting there, the car is now running on a 2D map. I am really impressed with the MJLJ and will post some pictures of what I have done once it is finished! My question is to those running a Ford Crossflow on MJLJ. What have you done with the distributor? I was planning to remove it and...

Thanks for the link.

A bit of heat from a blow torch, some levering and shocking with a hammer has got it off.

Trigger Wheel

Hi, I've decided to fit MJLJ to my Mk2 Escort (1300 crossflow, single Weber 45, Piper 285 cam) that I use for road and sprint competitions. I went to the scrapyard today to get the Ford parts (which came off a K-reg Sierra 1600CVH engine). The crank trigger wheel is attached to the crank front pulle...
