For the MJ I assume you'll have to use a battery to power it though as there doesn't seem to be a +5v supply on the serial connector. The RN-134K is the same as the RN-134 but comes with a battery connector cable and a serial cable that you may well be able to use. Can't say for the V4, but I seem ...

Re: Sylva Striker Super Seven with Ford Crossflow engine
Got to say that looks absolutely glorious! What a beautiful car! Well done
Re: Uh oh.....
I've been away for a while (the MJ is so damn reliable - shame about the rest of the car!) so sorry if I missed it somewhere else on the forum, but has there been any movement on this? Reading above the wifi solution looks good to me, but doesn't that mean display only? I guess with bluetooth/serial...

i have to do some digging into this because i was expecting idle to be at the low end of the KPa - but idle is somewhere around 65KPa. I'm at sea level, so that may effect the numbers more (this is where i have to learn more). Can anyone enlighten me on this? [/color] Hi Paul, I had similar symptom...

Re: Hi People, its my mini...
VERY NICE!
And a 9500rpm rev limit on an A series motor? To say I am bloody impressed would be an understatement!
The world must have moved on a long way since I read "More Mini Tuning" by David Vizard

Rang Rover V8 starting from cold on LPG with Megajolt
Well I have done my first Youtube vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvo0nB_F238 - it's pretty crappy but you guys might appreciate it..
Below is the map I am using (NOTE: THIS IS FOR LPG!) with 6deg cranking advance and about 17deg at tickover - I am quite pleased with it

flyback signal - Thinking about MJ4
Consider a COP setup but operating as a wasted spark system (ie firing in pairs). Can you tell from the flyback signal from the individual coils - whether you have: (a) Sparked under compression or sparked in an open cylinder? (b) Not managed to spark at all? If you can do (a) then you could start o...

Thanks for the reply, but I am afraid that I didn't explain it quite right - you see - if I remove the plug all together is does stop (14CUX says: engine not running = I'm not giving you any fuel) - this is sort of half-out when (I assume) some but not all spikes are getting through so the ECU is pr...

Mystery misfire poses problematic symptoms! (fixed though)
Mystery misfire poses problematic symptoms - solution satisfactoily simple: Proper plug-ins prevent piss poor performance... I got a mystery misfire after hundreds of miles of great running. It occurred at all times but got MUCH worse (not drivable) when on petrol and giving it some berries, when it...

Why would I now find it harder to start cold on gas, then I did with the dizzy ? Well you should have a much better and steadier spark so - assuming the timing is ok - could it be that the gas control unit isn't giving enough? With mine I start on petrol with no throttle (I let the ECU take care of...

Re: any know if this will work?
After I assembled mine into the main MJ box on an additional bit of veroboard, I realised I could have done this - just assemble the four diodes and a zenner together and encapsulate with heat-shrink - a much neater solution, however mine is connected with shielded cable so I can still feel a little...

Very nice! Can't wait to get my Defender running with it! :D What HT leads did you use- did you make your own/ modify LR ones/ or buy ready-made leads from Fastlane etc? Asking as leads are the next thing on my hitlist :) I can't recommend http://www.fastlaneauto.co.uk/ enough :) they are brilliant...
