Pretty much the finished engine bay, the MegaJolt installation allowed space for the intercooler.

Car/engine is a bit surface rusty in places, can't expect anything other when it has been sat for so long. Had to put the MJ on display I am so impressed :D Hopefully tomorrow I should have a lot of the intercooler pipework complete and get it up and running again. Very interested in the temperature...

Mini 1293cc turbo charged

Bought the megajolt V3 a couple of weeks ago as I have decided to revisit my mini project that has been un-touched for 6 years. 1293cc, competition high boost head, 10cc pistons, (8.5:1 compresssion ratio), competion camshaft, straight cut drop gears and gearbox. I needed to get rid of the distribut...

Today I re-tested both counters using the edis module pin 11 and still nothing so I connected them in turn to one side of the coil pack and both worked (reading 1/2 speed as expected). After reading the documentation on this site it suggested the PIP line could be used, I tried it and both counters ...

mmm, think that is what I had but I will try again tomorrow evening if I get time, thanks for your help so far. If it doesn't work I might try taking a feed off of one of the coils just to prove the counters are faulty (I know the revs would read incorrectly on only one coil).

Right, checked this evening and I have two RVC type rev counters. After managing to add an additional socket into the edis module plug I tried both rev counters and neither worked. Now I don't really know 100% if either work, but I have access to a cheap electronic/digital rev counter and that showe...

Also would there be triggerable events based on temperature? Would I need to fit an additional temperature sender or will I be able to use the o/e one?

I did wonder whether the edit module still had the output and just not the pin, so I might give that a go! The rev counter I have is a smiths one and very similar to Ken555's, will check the lettering tomorrow, thanks for your advice.

The sensor should be 90 degrees (9 teeth) from the missing tooth when the engine is at BTDC. The trigger wheel can be in any position on the pulley.

Hi, out of interest how do you drive your rev counter? What feed or method do you use? - I have just fitted my MegaJolt version 3 this weekend and managed to get the car running, also an A-Series engine, turbo charged. I am about to start wiring the dash this week which will include an older style r...
