Southern Mini days last year was the first (only a week or so after the engine was finished) - but there was no Megajolt at that point. I've been on several local mini runs around Kent, went to Brooklands Mini day... and there's this year's Southern Mini Days coming up next weekend, when she'll be o...

Hmm... totally forgot to update this! More about the general car work can be seen here . http://www.spetom.com/storage/dompics/13.jpg The SC trigger wheel was eventually replaced with a MED machined pulley, solving the clearance problems and I've been running the MJ with a basic map for several mont...

MegaJolt and MPH
Theoretically, could the MegaJolt calculate the speed of the car? Using data from the sensor, and a user-defined value for the size of the wheel, could a fairly accurate speedometer be created? (Of course, I'm ignoring the fact that there isn't really a way to output this, but a speed would be inter...

Sorry - all I seem to do nowadays is butt into your threads, Ryan. As I have a similar engine / MJ setup, I thought you might like to know the results of my experiment with an A-Series single terminal temperature sender (exact model unknown) and the Aux Input of the MJ. Although 'experiment' isn't r...

Thanks Alexander, I'm fairly sure I've got the clip on the right way - on the model I have, it's got a little arrow indicating the direction. I've emailed the guy who made that comment in the hope that he can explain it further. Maybe it's just a quirk of certain models of timing light. As far as I ...

Further tests: swapping the wires around had no effect, so it isn't the connection. Swapped around the coilpack connections and the plugs, so what was going to plug 1 was going to 3 (and vice-versa), and 2 was going to 4: instead of 3 and 4 having problems, 1 and 2 now did, with 3 and 4 being fine. ...

Troubleshooting EDIS / coilpack problem
This is a continuation of the problems mentioned in Nitropixie's thread: http://www.autosportlabs.org/viewtopic.php?t=1970 . Briefly, using a timing light to check the advance, I noticed that while plugs 1 and 2 produced gave good, regular pulses, 3 and 4 were irregular, frequently missing beats. I ...
