Best USB-to-Serial adapter for MJLJ?

I've been reading that a lot of people have issues with the adapters. Is there any particular brand that's known to be more compatible than others?

I have wiring diagram for my car, so I found the "tach in" wire, at the connector at the back of the instrument cluster. I connected mjlj tach out there. Do not connect tach out of mjlj permanently to this wire if you plan to keep existing ignition system for occasional use, you may kill ...

Any BMW 2002 or E21 owners get their tach to work?

I've been reading all the different possibilities for wiring up the tach, but i don't want to start hacking up my wiring harness just to see if something works. are there any older BMW owners on here with a functioning tach? Care to share how you did it?

Possible error in EDIS harness diagram

on my EDIS setup, and also on a friend's similar setup, our #1 & #3 wires on the coil pack were opposite of what showed on the wiring diagram. not sure if all EDIS units are like this or if they are made both ways, but ours are definitely on opposite sides (unless the diagram is referencing the ...

Fuel Issue after MJ install??

1978 BMW 320i (M10 2.0L), stock k-jet mechanical fuel injection I've got everything installed properly, double-checked all the wiring, everything looks good. I'm getting spark, but no fuel. The fuel system worked fine before installing the EDIS, so i'm pretty sure they're connected somehow. Last yea...

Running vacuum line for MAP sensor??? AND a wiring question

The install guide says to mount the MJLJ inside the car to avoid overheating/damage from vibration. how do i run a vacuum line into the cab?? i would think a vacuum line that long would cause problems with getting an accurate, even pressure reading? also, if i plan on doing an EFI conversion soon, d...

Accidently bypassed the 16-pin sockets

Well, I read the directions thoroughly before starting and I still managed to mess up. In my defense the assembly guide is a little vague for these pieces. Anyway, instead of soldering the connectors to the board and plugging the 'integrated circuit' piece into the socket, I soldered the integrated ...
