Hi Giles, Your post came in just between my reading and replying to Brent's - Thanks for your sequence and suggestions. I hadn't mentioned the loctite in my original post, but I wouldn't consider it otherwise. I was initially concerned about the items, which ever I decided upon, coming loose and spi...

Hey Brent, I hadn't considered the hex indentation in each bolt used by the wrench. Great catch. Using a regular bolt, using a small cutter and grinder should work fine to remove and smooth. Any thoughts on material differences, like nickel or zinc plated materials to avoid rust issues? Also, is it ...

Custom Trigger wheel

Hey all you mega dudes and dudettes, I have an old British 4 cylinder sports car that I'm keen to try out an MJ with to see if it helps it run any better (cause it can't run a whole lot worse). My challenge is that the crank pulley is made of aluminum so I can't weld a normal trigger wheel to it. It...

That's half of my overall goal. This half also maintains the current single map advance scheme by averaging the 4 maps together. But the second half need to be able to cycle through the N-cylinders and maintain some buffer depth of each cylinder for either real time or post processing and analysis. ...

Hey Martin, I'm afraid I may not have asked my question correctly or you misunderstood. I don't want to control each cylinder's timing individually, I merely want to monitor the vacuum, from the intake manifold, and switch based particular cylinder intake cycle. The individual measurements would not...

Hi Dave, Martin, Thank you both for your comments & suggestions. Martin, I would expect to use 4 x MPX4250A on a separate board and select with map device I use to feed the analog input on the 68HC908. The challenge will be, as Dave indicated, available memory on the MJ, and modifying the s/w to...

4 x map sensor mods to monitor each cylinder independently

Hi, I'm interested in measuring each cylinder's vacuum independently rather than aggregating them into a single measured value via a reservoir. I've just started to look into this, but I'm considering using some logic, outside of the MJLJ, to multiplex 4 sensors which would be controlled by two of t...

Where and When??

Hi all, I'm quite new to the whole electronic ignition world and RaceCapture in specific, but I'm very intrigued and would like to get my hands on one. I have Spelunked throughout many, if not most, of your pages and can't seem to locate a 'buy' page. It appears that the Squirt products are sold thr...
