I purchased the serial port from a local (Perth, Western Australia) company. It wasn't particularly expensive - about $20 dollars US. Since it doesn't work it is useless to me, so would you like me to send it to you for testing purposes?

Hi again I have managed to borrow a Windows XP PC with a standard RS232 serial port. The Megajolt seems to work fine with the MAP sensor operating. I am confident that I have configured the com port correctly as I get a 'could not open port' error message if the port number doesn't match.
