V8 MJ Users!!! Please! What is your maximum RPM???

I have MJ on my 383 Chevy V8, with new Accel coils, shielded microphone wire for sensor, and it only revs to 5950 RPM before break up. I am going to try and bring the sensor closer to trigger wheel, which is currently about 1 - 1 1/4 mm away. I was just curious to see what the other MJ users are exp...

Thank you for replies. I don't have or know anyone with an Oscilliscope, although maybe I can ask around. The rev limiter is set to 7000rpm and the coils are brand new (and yellow), not to say that they cannot be bad. The one thing that I could try, is to get VR sensor a little bit closer to the tri...

It may be a flooding issue, but where should the cranking advance be?

Thanks

Hard Starting....

New Megajolt installation, went very well and very happy with performance but I'm having a little difficulty when I go to start it. I always have to crank it for about 4 or 5 seconds, let go of the key and then it always starts on the second try, after about the same amount of cranking. I don't beli...

I'll look at my part code later and post it.

So different modules DO give a higher rpm potential??

Which cars have the best modules for performance? Lincoln Mark VIII, Mustang?

Help...EDIS-8 Will not rev over 6000 rpm???

Ok, got my megajolt running pretty good on a 1968 Camaro with a 383 V8. Love the idle, how smooth it is and how rock solid it revs through the RPM range, but it starts to "cough" at 6000 rpm, actually the data log says about 5970 RPM. Anyone have any ideas on how I can get about 500 more r...

Stay with me on this because it gets VERY technical. I shut down the MJ software...and then I turned it back on. That's pretty much all I did. Before I went out to tune the car for the first time, I turned on my computer, brought up the software program and then connected to the MJ. Maybe I should h...

1968 Camaro 383

Just got my car running yesterday and was adjusting the timing today with the software. This thing is cool! My car has never idled so good, can't wait to get the map sensor hooked up, tidy up the wiring and go for a ride. I'm still waiting for my Mallory dizzy plug to come in, 'til then, the dizzy i...

'68 V8 Camaro, tach is wrong...

Just got my Megajolt running a few hours ago. Thank you everyone for all of your posts with advice and answers, I could have never done this project without reading about all of your projects. While I still need to learn how to use the software and tune my MJ, the question that I would like to have ...
