Hmm. So I was looking through the kit assembly guide (even though I bought it pre-assembled. Looks like the LM2937 is supposed to have 5v on it's output pin. My multimeter is only showing 3v. Would that cause the 3 main ICs to heat up like that? Seems like they might just not function. I am hoping t...

Has my MJLJ gone bad?

Well, after a few years of great service, I'm wondering if my MJLJ hasn't kicked the bucket... I noticed for some time that my car seemed a little low on power. So I went to check the system, and the LED light is on just fine, but when I went to use the software, it kept crashing. It would crash at ...

Oh man! And here I am a month and a half later replying to you! I didn't even see your post before! Dang. It's really cool to always hear people's stories about their Accords. They are getting to be few and far between, and it's funny how so many people had them, and most people have fun memories an...

Ahaha! Yeah, always cracks me up. The car in that movie is a Civic, but should have been an Accord! Love those scenes with the car in it. :)

Are there any other Hondas on here? I noticed a disturbing lack of them here...

1981 Honda Accord

Man, I have to say, I am so damn impressed with MegaJolt Lite JR! My car idles like it never has idled before. After going through 5 different distributors from AutoZone and all of them being failing garbage, it's so nice to have something reliable running in my car. And I am also amazed how much qu...

Thanks again for the reply. I used pin 11, and it drives the tach just fine, but for some reason won't trigger the relay. I'm not the only person who has had to do the diode trick to make the fuel pump activate on an 80's Honda. So I bypassed the relay for now and just put in a switch. Pump still on...

Well, turns out I am getting spark. I was using my timing light to see if it was sparking or not, and the timing light wasn't picking anything up. So I pulled the plug and it's definitely firing! Man, I'm an idiot, should have done that in the first place! Well at least I know EDIS is working. :) No...

Well, I managed to get the sensor a little closer. Now I'm reading 1.2volts AC across those pins. I don't think it's possible to get it any closer than that. Should that be sufficient signal to get spark? Or am I going to need an oscilloscope to check the signal? Could a steel mounting bracket possi...

Wow thanks for the fast reply! I used a piece of thin cardboard as a "feeler gauge." I measured the cardboard with a digital caliper and it was 0.8mm thick and was just a snug fit between the sensor and wheel. But I'm not 100% certain that I'm at a perfect 90 degree angle to the wh...

VR Sensor not close enough?

Hi, I just love this site, and just got my MegaJolt unit and have been having a blast wiring it up in my Honda! But I'm having a small (noob) problem. I got all the EDIS system wired in for basic (limp home) operation, to make sure everything is good before I go too far hooking things up. The proble...
