Re: Megajolt/E Mk2
Hi All. I've recently had to purchase a new Megajolt, as the old one's USB port parted company with the board !! It looks as though the amount of solder applied in the factory was rather inadequate. I'm not in the least bit heavy handed and I'd say in truth that I've only ever connected it to my lap...

Re: Megajolt/E Mk2
Excellent info, thanks. It should really ship with the unit though, shouldn't it ?
Thanks, Andy G

Megajolt/E Mk2
Hi Guys. I've recently bought a new Megajolt Mk2 here in England (Trigger-wheels.com), and actually fitted it into the car this morning, having transferred the map from my old v4. I'm at a loss as to why the ASL pages don't seem to picture the new unit, just the previous incarnation, and there are n...

I tried the new serial to USB adapter, but it still doesn't communicate. I've even tried it at the house, with battery power on my PC, to no avail, so I think the fault may be a physical one with the Megajolt itself. So I guess I'm stuck with it until I can afford the latest version with USB connect...

Problems communicating with MJ/E
Hi All, I used to be able to communicate with my Megajolt/E fine. When I sold on my original Megajolt Lite (built from a kit back in the day), I was also stupid enough to include the cable !! Why, I don't know !? Anyway, since then I've bought a replacement cable and 2 different Serial to USB adapto...

I've had aMegajolt fitted to my 1972 Hillman Imp for years now. In fact the first one was bought in kit form, and worked really well. I substituted it for a Megajolt E, just because I could. I held on to the original for ages, but eventually decided to sell it via eBay. Stupidly, I also included the...

Hi Brent. I fired up the MJ/E today : I tried the previous format as above, and it froze again. So, I rebooted the Netbook, put the link cable into the other USB port and changed the Coms Port (this time 4 as opposed to 3 beforehand) and all seems well :D I had the car running around locally for at ...

Hi Brent, Thanks for your interest. The pc starts up normally at any other time, like now for instance ;-) I'll give it another go tomorrow and see what the text says if I can. How do you freeze the page so that it's easily read ? The mouse wasn't actually plugged in at the time that i was playing w...

Netbook shutdown
Guys. I've recently bought a new EeePC netbook to use more or less specifically for configuring/playing with my Megajolt/E. Yesterday, on first time use with both netbook and MJ/E,everything went fine : my own map went in no problem, car started etc but after maybe 6 or 7 minutes the netbook shutdow...

Thanks Brent. I'll do that. By the way, I found a short hand-written message from the other half (Kelley ?) yesterday when I was looking out all of the paperwork I had for the MJLJ. I'd experienced problems with the mail service when I bought my kit and it was just to apologise for the delay. :D I'v...

Newby Question MJLJ V3
Hi Guys, I bought a kit many years ago for use in my Hillman Imp. The finished article was mapped by an Imp Club member for me, so I have never downloaded the appropriate software for myself. I now have a new Netbook which I've bought for the sole intention of mapping my unit. Do I need the V3 speci...
