I have the engine running and the system working. I asked about the grounding of the shielded cable because I connected it to pin 7 on the edis as well as to a ground point on the chassis. Everything is running ok, I am just dealing with carb air leak issues.

Now i get voltage to pip when ignition is on but the engine will not start, only backfire while cranking.

doesn't read rpms while cranking

Hello. I am trying to start my new engine with the megajolt unit and it wont start. All it does is make some popping noises. Also the rpms don't go up on the laptop screen when the engine is cranked.

Real quick update...

I fixed the pip wire which was making contact with the shielding ground. I still don't get voltage to pip, whether if the ignition is on or not.
