Update.
spent an afternoon trying to find a EDIS. found one and fitted it to the car. went for a test - same problem...
put the 2nd hand coil on, and the problem seems to have gone! (fingers crossed11)

Wireing MJ thru battery isolator switch for uk racing
I have just realised that when i pull my isolator switch whilst the engine is running the engine continues to run. What is the best way to wire the MJ through the switch?

I would also double check your wiring, especially looking at the grounds and make sure they have good clean contacts and solid solder joints with no frayed wires. Hello, Look at the EDIS module first- a wholesale cut of power would indicate the EDIS is not firing the plugs at all. So- check your VR sensor, coil pack connections, power and ground to the EDIS module. A Megajolt failure would manifest itself more as a loss of power, but still a running engine: ...

i can believe a discrepancy
i can believe a discrepancy of 1 - 4 deg, but not 10. with a map running advance of 30 deg and cranking at 5 deg surly i would be the first to know if somthing is amis? therefore it must be the lamp which is counting each spark and doubleing the advance ?? i do agree - i am amazed that no one has ha...
