I put mine right in the center of the car on the roof, just ran the cable out through the door and the weatherstripping that was there offered enough cushion. Very happy with the strength of the magnet on this thing, I was only doing maybe 70 during the autox but hard acceleration and it never budged.

Oh hey, 20 and 21 look exactly right lol. 18 not sure it may have been when I was testing and using a bit of code that turned logging on when I was doing >10mph and off when it was not. I noticed you were on 1.1.7 and I was running 1.1.4. I upgraded to 1.1.6 and all looks good now! Before it would j...

Is this a Layer 8 issue, or do I have a hardware issue?
Well, I took the RCP to the autocross the other day well the results were odd. Now I had run out of time so I was powering the unit via a USB cable which seemed to work ok. I had the GPS unit plugged in and on the roof and the sd card inserted. The GPS seems to have just given me the same lat/long t...

Help need for AutoX Logging on/off Script and Logging LED
As far as LUA scripting goes, I've seen the example where you use getGpsSpeed(), is there a list of the other functions available? For instance I'm looking at doing something like the following: function onTick() if logging() and (getGpsSpeed()...

Tapping into vehicle sensors
Whats the recommended method for tapping into sensors that are part of the vehicle? For instance I am trying to get RPM, TPS, and boost pressures to start. I do know the pin numbers on the ECU where the data is going to but what method is best for tapping into those wires?

Damn, that's some awesome tri-podding :) I love Evos, incredibly capable cars. AWD rules :) Thanks! Yeah I love this car, its a blast to drive and because of its AWD system you can really throw it through corners quite well. Now to educate the monkey behind the wheel some more so I can improve my t...

Intro - Duncan and initial install
Hello All, My name is Duncan, I currently do mostly Auto-X with the SCCA and have been doing so for about the last 5 years. I stumbled upon the Racecapture project while looking into making something quite similar and I was amazed to see exactly what I wanted to develop in the final stages of develo...
