Any updates on the app? Seems like all the updates have been focused on race telemetry lately. We need the ability to stop/start and set start points via the app I think.

How is the app supposed to talk to the unit?

How would you even set start/stop coordinates on the Race Capture Pro unit without having to have a PC plugged into it? As driving your car to the timing lights is not a workable solution at most events

Ouch, that is actually a major shortcoming of race analyzer I was not aware of right now then. Distances vs speed is the basic and most used chart for analysis

Only issue with stopping based on speed could be a slow hairpin, an issue on course, a spin etc could stop the recording entirely.

I know Petrel Data's unit combines this with a GPS coordinate tag

I've been looking for some options. There is a few spec miata threads about how they did theirs. It seems like the string potentiometer is the most popular.

It definitely tops my list along with RPM/TPS/Brake pressure
