Well i agree, that these pieces of software are the best around.

However, rather than the guys at Autosport Labs needing to redesign there interface, the GEMS software allows for CSV import at a fraction of the cost of Motec and therefore this is probably the best solution

Is it possible to still use an IR beacon or a Magnetic strip pick up?

How does a lap get defined? Does the logger carry on with a timestamp, or does it start again from 0.0 each lap?
