Thank for the clue, Brent. I googled the net about Open GL 2 and like you suggested, I tried updating the display driver via the Device Manager window. It didn't work on my older DELL XP machine (no surprise) but it DID work on my slightly newer laptop though. :D In case anyone is interested in find...

V2 software load error
When I load the new V2 software on my XP machine I fire it up offline and the "KIVY" windows appears (it's just blank white screen) for a second then disappears. And nothing happens. It's kind of an older laptop, so I tried my newer WIN 7 Dell laptop but this time the "KIVY" wind...

I have tried undoing it a few times, and if I recall it does pair but does not connect. I'll have to try it again tonight or tomorrow and document exactly what I do. Although I'm having similar issues with my Megasquirt Bluetooth. (It's worked with an HTC phone) I'm beginning to think it Samsung. I ...

RACE TRACK DATA FILES - UPLOADS
Brent- Any chance to have an upload/download area for track configurations? As people begin getting good data at a track that is reliable they could upload the file and share with everyone. You'll start to get a catalog together where you could package some default track files together for quick set...

Thanks for documenting this. We based the accelerometer polarities based on the device's datasheet. We certainly have an opportunity to change the defaults to match common conventions- would cause a bit of churn - short term pain :) Thoughts? Brent- I think it would be a great idea to match at leas...

RaceRender 2
Anyone here using Racerender 2 ( www.racerender.com ) with RCP? I saw the Youtube footage Brent posted. Pretty cool stuff.
Looking for screen shots of the "input File" configuration.
Any mod to the CSV file need to be done?

Entering LAT/LONG
Question about entering Lat/Long: The syntax for RCP is 0.0000000 Using Google Earth I can find the Start/Finish of Pacific Raceways in Kent, Wa. At the bottom of the screen shot you can see the Lat/Long displayed like this: 47° 19'15.35" N 122° 08'51.03" W Can I assume that I would enter ...

Win 7 Service Pack 1
Yes, It's WIN 7 Service Pack 1. But I'd also note that Kristi's laptop has the same OS version and SP1 installed too. Different model laptop though and it works fine. I'll try safe mode and see what it does. I even updated the BIOS to no avail. It's not a huge deal anyway, it's my work laptop. I jus...

Ok, it's the laptop. I have 3 laptops with different configs. Works on the other two just fine. The status bar never came up, went right to the error. So the laptop that it doesn't work on is a dell latitude e6500. It has 4 USB ports (comm ports 4,5,6,7.) Works fine on my old XP laptop with single U...

More info
Ok, so my wife also has one so I opened hers up and plugged it in. Does the same thing.
I suspect it maybe a laptop issue.
Swapped USB cables, still no luck.
Tried w and w/o SD data card installed.

Initial READ of unit fails
Here's my setup: Laptop w/ WIN 7 SVC Pack 1. RCP software is 1.1.6 Drivers successfully install and I can see that the driver is working under DEVICE MANAGER. Powerd RaceCapturePro with USB cable. Powers up fine (Green LED steady), GPS locks ok (Green LED flashes 10pps) I can see the RCP on the DEVI...
