RaceCapture does not turn on

Hey all, I recently pulled out my RCP after sitting for about 8 months (race car broke, got chopped up and scrapped it) and I can't even get it to power on now. I provide 12V power to the proper pins, and I get nothing. No lights or anything. I measure the voltage across the power terminals and I ge...

Did you generate an FFT to see what frequency modes your unit is seeing? May help contribute to more effective filtering as well.

When you log with the car off/not moving or the unit outside the car, do you still get the noise? If not, then most likely you need vibration isolation. If you're trying something, please post pictures of what you're doing. I recommend true isolation mounts, meaning there is nothing rigid connecting...

Looks like they used eclipse CDT based on the presence and contents of the '.project' files.

It also looks like they're running dos2unix before commiting code, so I'm gonna guess Windows.

I'm hoping to work on CAN bus stuff myself, and having the current codebase shared would help. I have some CAN modules I'd like to use with mine.

I had some issues too getting connected, but now I think it connects for me within a few minutes.

Note to all - channel names can only have letters, numbers, and underscores. If you have any other characters (for me, a period) the RCL page won't load or connect to the RCP.

The 'open source' part of RCP

So I see that the hardware is now for sale...

Where can we find the source code for this beast?

You're definitely getting bump acceleration, which will be a lot higher than axial or lateral. I second the advice to mount it as designed.

I bought one in a store, got the unlimited 2g (all the RCP can utilize) for $2 a day. The one where you get the first few hundred megabytes in 3g or 4g (for $3/day) is useless. They charged me $10 for the SIM card in the store. I added money to the card when I bought it - I believe you have to pre-p...

That makes sense. According to my 'guesses' that would allow you to measure as slow as 343.3 RPM. Sounds like what you need.

There is supposed to be an 'ad-hoc' event that creates by default if your telemetry unit is transmitting data. I haven't seen it though. I was able to get it to connect earlier, but i'm trying it again now and I can't even get it to connect.

I'm thinking that (divider/48000000) will tell you the minimum amount of time between pulses that can be measured. As for maximum, it should be able to measure anything slower? I would think you'd want to set the clock divider as high as you reasonably can, based on what you're measuring, so as to n...
