It took a while to get the menu to pop up (it is really hard to the small hot spot to get the menu to activate), but it was not turned on in preferences, so I would guess that was the problem. Next outing is the SCCA Runoffs at Indy.
Thanks
Dave

Can't get Telemetery working after resetting phone
I had telemetry working great using a Samsung S4. I got a new phone allowing me to dedicate my old phone as a dash and for telemetry. I cleared and reset the phone when I got the new number/data plan activated to ensure the memory was cleared. I reloaded the software, entered my Device Id, and haven...

Brent, Sorry for the long delay. We got some erratic readings, but mostly it was just wrong. We got it close to a correct reading at idle, but definitely wrong at speed. I found your discussion on active verses passive sensor and have now installed a 3-wire gear sensor (the Hamlin #55505), but I can...

Settings for a Ford Crank Position Sensor (73 teeth)
I have a Ford Crank Position sensor mounted and connected (and reading) to a MK2. Now the problem is getting the setting so it records accurately. The pulse selection ends at 63... We've messed around with RPM verses Frequency, along with various other settings to no satisfactory solution. This appl...

Induction Pickup for reading RPMs
I bought an Equus 9995 Inductive Pick-up to test. My friend with an oscilloscope, along with the knowledge to use it, came over to see what kind of signal it creates. It produced a short duration pulse at 41 volts. A screen shot of the scope is attached. The question is would this input work for RPM...

Thanks for the quick reply. Part of the problem is this is a snowmobile engine setup. We initially got no signal from the negative side of the coil that we switched to a feed from the MPEM (ECU) that everyone else uses, that don't use a sparkplug wire wrap. I did not try the negative side of the coi...

Still trying to get RPM
I did some testing and found the correct connection for a tach signal for the engine (off of the ECU), I get a signal, it is between 12 and 15 volts. We did not get a signal off of the negative post of the coil. I could trace a signal to the coilx adapter, but not out. I assumed we broke the origina...

Thanks for the reply. We were at Hallett. I think we had it configured to auto track detect, which I thought it had set, as there is no way to hit the record button (the box is under the nose). My crew could see the lat-long-alt-speed change during the race, so we know it was working. I have not loo...

Finished first race with Race Capture Pro
I finished my first race weekend with Race Capture Pro and a Android cell phone for a dash... had many issues... The open cockpit makes reading the phone screen impossible thru a smoke visor... I have to find a way to turn up brightness or add some kind of shade. We don't have RPMs working. We are u...

Thanks much for the answers and recommendations. I made an aluminum mount to place the Race Capture Pro box above the top frame rails forward of the steering wheel/bulkhead by about 18 inches, making the box approximately level and facing forward per the instructions, about 18 inches above the groun...

So I got my wife to buy me the RaceCapture Pro for Christmas to replace my XT Racing logger and dash... So now I need to solve my dash/display problem. I'm running a small formula car (every tablet is too big), with an 8 watt radio (so EMI is of concern-the shift lights on my old AIM dash would ligh...
