It seemed I should post an update. I reluctantly bought a Racepak IQ3LD and hope it will do what I want.

Since I started the complaining I feel I should reply. I was out of town at the PRI show, so I was bogged down with that. So, when I upload a log file. How do I view it via web if "laps" was not set to count. I know the file has data in it, but I cant see it. I have many ad-hoc events that show nothing so I assume laps were not counted so it cant be seen?? How does this help people that are doing autoX where ...

You could simply have the race capture start when you move and not stop until you power it off. That's exactly what we do. I cannot ever be sure we wont be stopped for some length of time in a race.

Maybe I need to look elsewhere too but it's the live telemetry that brought me here and there just are not that many options I can afford that do that. A motec costs more than my race car does, so that option doesn't help much.

Don't get me wrong the race capture is a fantastic value for live telemetry but am I the only one questioning why we are developing racecapture v2 hardware when the v1 system still isn't finished?
