Brent Thanks - this is perfect for my purposes. For some reason I had thought the .RCP configuration file was binary. If I'd actually bothered to look I would have have been real obvious it was JSON notation. Possibly useful FYI for others who might be interested. Using a smart editor (like N...

Re: E46 Fuel Level
Can someone help me understand the fuel level that my MK3 is reading. E46 M3, 63L/16.6gal tank. When reading the CAN via the BMW INPA software it shows 57 liters(says gallon though). The RC is showing a value of 28. I'm wondering if it's reporting only one of the level senders. The M3 has two sende...

Paul, No such thing as a dumb question. Basically you need: - Ohms Law (voltage = current * resistance) (note: units are volts, amps, ohms respectively), - Series resistance rule ( Resistance Total = Resistance1 + Resistance2), and - an understanding of the complete circuit. Your entire sensor circu...

Feature Request: Dump a Human Readable View of Settings
It would be helpful for documentation and troubleshooting purposes to be able to dump a human readable version of the Race Capture Pro system configuration and RCP App settings. Possible approaches: - An ASCII text file written to the SD card would be ideal. Could be invoked from GUI or RCP shell cm...

Feature Request: Option to Lock Alarm Configuration
It would be nice to have a global option to lock/unlock the alarm customization options on the screen objects (e.g., gauges, number values, ...) with the RCP apps. It's a real pain when every time you point at a gauge or try to scroll a tablet screen only to the "customize" dialog pop up. ...

This is waking up an old thread but hopefully this may help others having trouble connecting devices with a serial interface (e.g. Arduino, maybe some gauges, etc.) to the RaceCapturePro Aux serial interface. The problem is that the serial ports on the RCP and Arduino use different physical level (e...

Brent, You answered my question -- each device (e.g., MK3, each analogX, etc) will individually provide up to 500 mA over their 5V reference source. I'm not trying to exceed 500 mA on any single sensor/load. I just wanted to make certain that I didn't need to limit the total draw across all sources ...

Max Reference 5V Current with Multiple AnalogX boards
I have a RaceCapture Pro MK3 with 2 AnalogX boards attached. I know the specification states the MK3 will source 5V @ 500mA and the specification for the AnalogX is 5V @ 500mA. Question is: What is the total 5V current that can be sourced (assuming current draw is equally distributed across the devi...

Unknown Track - Any way to enter start/finish without GUI?
Is there any way to enter the start/finish line for an unrecognized track without using the RaceCapture Setup GUI? At the track is nearly impossible to set (or revise) the start finish line if the automatic detection does not work. On my older Traqmate it was a piece of cake to use Google Maps to de...

SD Log Failed To Record - Get Data from PodiumLive?
Help! I got to use us my brand new RaceCapturePro MK3 during a 14 hr race at Charlotte last week. The telemetry worked great, but I found my SD Card contained absolutely no recorded data after the race. I haven't figured out why the SD Card log failed but I assume its my fault -- I probably mis-conf...
