MJLJ installed successfully to 1981 Celica 2 litre twincam 18R-G engine with dual 40 DHLA Dellortos. I know the heat range rating to use but do the plugs need to be resistor type? I will be using custom set of Magnecor Electrosports80 ignition leads, which are advertised to provide "exceptional RFI and EMI suppression"

With dizzy setup I'd be using NGK BPR6EY.

Fast-drying protection enamel such as PRF 202 Plastic should be helpful in the fight against corrosion...

Which one of the two VR sensor wires is plus, and which one is minus? Does the polarity even matter?
