Carbon core HT
The vehicle is an MGB. The H.T leads are carbon core. The charging system is fine. I have been proving the system with the vacuum tube still connected to the dizzy. I removed the fuses one by one to eliminate other circuits, so the problem seems to definatly be with the ignition, or I guess it could...

New problm. RPM on chip
Think this is a new problem. Have searched the other forums and cant find anything to help me. <!--break--> MJLJ works fine on the bench. SAW signal is changing the advance without any problem. The indicated RPM however is jumping around all over the place. Made up the little hysteresis circuit but ...

Blind as a bat
Managed to get the saw signal working. If I had worn my glasses when I was building the board maybe I would not have created the short on the board. No damage done.
Just shows it pays to check and check again.

How did you get on
I would seem to have the same problem, with the advance constantly at 10 degrees and the runtime showing ok. What problem did you find with your system.

Runtime ok
Have checked the mjlj in real time and seems to be working ok just not affecting the advance, so figure it must be either on the output from the mjlj or the input to the edis or edis itself.
Anyone had a similar problem to point me in the right way.

VR Sensor
Try checking your VR sensor wires, swap them round and see if it makes a difference.

Limp home mode working but not MJLJ
I am busy installing the system on my MGB. It works fine at 10 degrees without the mjlj, which proves the vr sensor, the coil pack and the edis. When I connect the mjlj the engine just stays at 10 degrees. I have tested with the P.C and the mjlj works fine and is programmed ok and the map sensor wor...
