Yep, that's a type 4!
Adrian, Yes, that's a type 4 and that's the motor I am building this for. I am using an a/c pulley that fit between the fan and the crank. I will have it milled down a bit to fit inside the Escort trigger wheel. The pulley has a hole in it for locating. This makes it easy to remove and replace witho...

Ever figure this out?
Tonci,
I am getting the exact same issue as you. It stays at 10 deg BTDC while the runtime is showing the pointer all over the chart.

Test stand up and running!
I got all the pieces Saturday. I spent this morning making up a test bench. I have successfully run the Ford EDIS system standalone today, making spark on all 4 plugs!! Tomorrow, I will be attaching my finished MJLJ to this setup and verify timing changes based on RPM. I will also attempt to connect...

Ok, we all know you posted so
Ok, we all know you posted some questions that really don't fit this forum but I will help you out anyway because I am doing the same thing. 1.) What do I do with the cold start injector? Remove it and block of the plenum where it was. MegaSquirt has better control over the injectors and modifes PW ...

MJLJ Tuner on Linux?
Ok, I'm really new to linux but I did manage to follow all the steps for RxTx and got all the files in my JRE folders. I can get the MJLJ tuner to come up but it cannot connect to the serial port. I get this in the terminal: [tbray@localhost mjlj]$ /home/tbray/j2re1.4.2_04/bin/java -jar mjljTune-2.0...

LMB Heeger EAF-100
The link for the EAF-100 doesn't work. Is there somewhere else to get this box or is there another box that can be used?
Thanks,

Got my unit built last night except
I missed that 'undocumented' jumper. I will solder it in tonight and then power it up and see if it smokes. Then what? Without the rest of the stuff (36-1 wheel, VR, coil pack, etc.), can I connect to it and see if it is working from the tuning software?
