OK - So with number 1 cyl at TDC, the sensor should be in line with the missing tooth. Whether the missing tooth be 2,10,90 or 180 degrees from "12 o'clock" is irrelevant, as long as the sensor is lined up with the missing tooth. Is that correct? Cheers, AL Visit My Homepage at: http://fre...

Right - so if the VW/Audi wheel is of the 36 toothed variety (I know it has one missing), then that would be right, so it would just be a case of try the VW/Audi sensor, otherwise see if the ford one will fit...???

Crank Sensor Question...
I may have a slight change of plan for my engine project which would result in me using a more modern block. The crank for this block actually has a tothed wheel built in to it and there is space to fit a crank sensor. Would this crank sensor (VW/Audi) be compatible with the EDIS/MJLJ equipment? Als...

Cheers guys... I am actually going to try using Motorbike carbs. I have had a look at them and see no way of attaching a TPS at the moment. I think I am going to have to strip down one of the spindle mechs to see if can be modified or a replacement made. I would prefer to go with the MAP sensor, tho...

OK, I think I have worked out that you can either hav an MAP (Manifold absolute Pressure?) sensor or a TPS - Is this right?
If so, which is the better setup?

What would I need to download
OK - I'm not very computer literate and all this talk of flashing chips, Bootloaders, firmware etc is putting me off a bit. If I was to buy a ready built unit, which bits of software would I need to dowload, and what difficulties am I likely to encounter? Is the chip in a ready built MJLJ already fl...

Toothed wheel - What do the numbers mean?
I understand what the toothed wheel does, though people are talking about different sized wheels? What difference does this make and what do the numbers mean EG. 32-6 or 60-2 are a couple I have seen mentioned?

Different versions of MJLJ
Hi, I am looking into adding MJLJ to my current project. I have been in touch with Bill Shurvington here in the UK who can supply the system though he gave me some prices based on the "TPS" (I assume - Throttle Position Sensor) version. How many different versions are there and what are th...
