That all seems fine. It's not crystal clear, but are those voltages with everything in place as normal - you can get a narrow multimeter probe in the back of the Molex connector. So can you be explicit about what the voltages are with respect to ground on: - pin 2 (Vref, next to +12v in) - pin 10 (T...

The EDIS and MJLJ are almost guaranteed to work well to 8500rpm - some people report 8800, 9000, 9200 or even 9500.... What is the rev limit set to in the Configurator (on the Options tab)? At very high rpms it can be difficult to work out what is limiting rpm as it can be fuel, spark or just mechan...

Well you probably do have 50 degrees advance then! ...you just need to check that with the MJLJ disconnected you see exactly 10 degrees of advance at all rpms. 50 is quite a lot at high rpms - the highest I've seen is around 40-42 on a highly tuned engine. I would be very careful with this advance a...

If you have a normal timing lamp where you look to see where the timing mark is in relation to a fixed point on the engine then it will work perfectly. If you have a clever digital timing lamp where you set the advance on the lamp until the timing mark is at TDC on the engine block then these normal...

Re: Megajolt Tps won't map
[I used the tps calibration software, my map goes from 90 to 230 -I assumed (rightly?) calibration procedure sets these values to correcpsond with 0% and 100% ??]. I'm on V3.2 I think ? 'fraid not.... ... it's all designed to be easy to use and so when you calibrate the TPS you need to adjust your ...

Re: another ''time out on cyliner count'' post
...im going straight from rj11 on the unit to rj45 on the laptop any suggestions? does it need the serial adapter to work properly? Do you really mean that - rj11 on unit to rj45 on laptop? The rj45 on a laptop is an ethernet networking connection - not what you want to be using at all. The normal ...

I haven't checked the calculator at all values, but I've no reason to doubt it... If you specify a long dwell then you are effectively increasing the charging time to such a point that the current is limited only by the primary resistance of the coil - so the current will be 20v/0.6 ohms = 20 Amps e...

What sort of strobe - is it a clever snap-on type digital one where you adjust the read out to give you a flash at TDC? That type of strobe can give that sort of doubling effect, but they usually double the whole advance, not just on the MJLJ advance ...basically they're not designed for wasted spar...
