Hi Brent My pc powered down mid posting for the last one! Well, today I loaded everything up onto an older laptop (including the driver software for the USB/serial lead). Initially, it wouldn't work, although I was getting more access. But then God was in his heaven and smiling down benevolently on ...

Hi Brent I did look at the time, but couldn't see any error messages evident, such as you suggested. I made a point of ensuring I had configured the com port to the appropriate USB port, but i did switch the USB lead to another port just to double check my fumblings. As you say, the Device manager a...

new advent palm top not showing MJL status
Hi guys Only just got the car back on the road after cylinder head trouble last year. In the meantime, my old laptop turned its toes up. So, got the car running and loaded the version 3.0.0 software onto the palmtop, but its doesn't show the realtime info(MAP/ignition advance/RPM) and you can't adju...

Nick- have we spoken elsewhere or in a former life?!? Norwegien triple SU equipped TR6 sounds familier.... :) I'm very interested to hear of your en...

Innovate LM-1 or LM-2
Hi guys. MJL running very well currently in my 1969 carb equipped Triumph GT6. Looking to improve things further by tuning the needle selection for the SU carbs by using Innovate's air fuel ratio meters. Quick question for those who may be familier with these items, can I run an RPM output from my M...

Hi Brent. I bought a 9v battery and made up a lead in readyness to whip the unit out from the car to do the upgrade via the desktop pc. Then I thought, what the heck- i've got a spare £10, lets try another serial converter lead.... Bob's your uncle- it worked :D The new lead and river did the trick ...

Triumph GT6 install
Megajolt = Untapping the potential of your engine: it's as simple as that 8) . Fitting it to my 1968 Triumph GT6 has achieved the sum of it's disperate performance parts. Distributor fitted cars that are in standard spec will benefit from throwing away the tired weights and springs with the dizzy an...

Problems running firmware upgrade
Having only just got the mjlj set up on my car running and initially having commited to flash one custom map, my green pcb 2007 V3.0.0b4 was having what appeared to be software issues (beta version bugs?), so i thought it would be best to install the latest V.3.2.1 software/firmware. I followed the ...

Thanks Brent!
Just a BIG thank you to Brent. I fitted the Megajolt today and after a couple of self induced errors( ), it was all up and running. Fab and groovy- starts on the button now and seems to run smoother. Haven't had time to do much more than just drive it today, but i will get back here with a mo...
