Have installed Megajolt Lite Jr as per instructions and all's gone well (Fiesta Mk2 Xr2 1600CVH). I'll run with a TPS when finished but that's not yet installed (big DIY job as I have twin 40DCNF's and hardly any spindle showing!). Instructions say "Install EDIS components and verify that the engine will start in the 'limp home' mode" and this has been done successfully. Instructions then say "Install the MJLJ and verify that it operates in 2D mode" - so now to the question....
MJLJ connected to PC and 12V supply off the car and I retrieved current configuration OK. However, the 'current configuration' shows a 3D tabulation running from 1000 to 7000 rpm mapped across 230 to 20 'load'. If I connect the MJLJ to the car without TPS so it "operates in 2D mode" which load curve will it follow? To clarify - if it follows the 230 load curve the advance will change from 10deg to 22deg; if it follows the 20 load curve the advance will change from 12deg to 36deg.
It's possible that I'll have to use the car before I add the TPS so I hope my dilemma is clear and hope someone can help.
Regards

In 2D mode you will still have the 3D map in front of you but as the revs change it just moves across the same row on the map and won't move up and down. Which row it moves in will depend upon how the base map+calibration is set up.
You can recalibrate the load axis so when you know which row it sits in you can recalibrate the axes so to pick which row you want it to operate on. Once you have the TPS in just reset the axis values to what they were before.

Many thanks - understood. Your reply prompted my old brain to churn over and I guess, assuming I have a 2D advance curve in mind, that I could create and upload a map which has the same advance curve for every load row in the table.
Am I thinking logically?
