Can a cam mounted trigger wheel work?
I've got a project that I'm building and wanted to know if I can setup a trigger wheel in this way to work off a cam, basically have a 36-1 setup doubled on one wheel, to take into consideration the cams spinning half the crank speed. This is a crappy paint sketch and the number of teeth are off but you get the idea. I just think its easier to mount on the cam side, especially since my motor had the distributor mounted off the cam, so there's a spot for it already. Any thoughts?

So does my 1970 Alfa 4cyl engine - but on a converted dizzy.
It's in the gallery 'powered by..'
It works like a charm - and in addition I can fine tune and adjust the trigger point in relation to TDC. (I know one can do that with the configurator as well now....)
It uses the same sensor.
