Ford 302/5.0 in a 70 Maverick

Post by bmcdaniel »

My 70 Maverick that I've owned for 40 years. I mounted the coil packs on the center of the firewall with the spark plug wires coming forward. Now the local Ford guys get on me saying it looks like I'm running a small block Chevy... I originally planned on using the rear flange of the crankshaft pulley as my trigger wheel so it has teeth milled into it. I didn't like where I had to mount the sensor in that configuration. Found a ready made trigger wheel on eBay for $20 and welded it to the rear of the crank pulley. That allowed me to "hide" the sensor behind the alternator bracket. The EDIS module and Megajolt are mounted inside the car on the passenger-side firewall out of sight.
