Hello,
A simple question.
I would like to avoid to drill a hole in the roof of the car.
May I thus attach the antenna to the PLASTIC dashboard under the glass windscreen ?
If I do drill a hole in this dashboard, I will not have a metal connection to the antenna unless I go with the wire to the ground somewhere in the car. Would that be ok?
Will the glass windscreen block the emission?
Regards
Francois

Hi,
The antenna is designed to be externally mounted for best reception and performance.
You can install it inside the car, but because it is now in a metal cage (the body of the car), it may suffer from reduced performance.
This is especially true with the GPS antenna; we highly recommend mounting it on the roof for best performance, so it can has view of the entire sky, horizon to horizon.
Also, glass does not block radio frequency energy.
Hope this helps,
