Would appreciate others' experiences of locating the MJ in the engine-bay.
Am obviously aware that there are drawbacks (heat, humidity, splash) but know that many have done it.
My background is motorcycles where we wouldn't think twice (with obvious precautions) about using stuff like this, as we don't have a choice, exposed to humidity, splash.
There's a very convenient location under the 3.8 E-Type air-filter where the MJ and EDIS can sit, it makes wiring and vacuum easy and short.
With a suitable umbrella cover (a RAACO A6 tray is perfect) sandwiched against the filter support strut, the MJ won't get wet, and it won't get "hot", a subjective judgement if ever there was - but it's not as cosy as a glove-box cubby or whatever.
Experience rather than conjecture is what I'm after.

We recommend it be placed in the passenger compartment to be protected from heat and moisture. Perhaps someone has an installation they can share where they've sealed it in a box in the engine compartment.
