Erratic behaviour

Post by stragenmitsuko »

We 've build a test stand with an edis four module and coil pack .
Trigger weel in the lathe , sensor in the place of the cutting tool .
Tiling light installed .

What happens is that the laptop looses communication with the jolt .
The tach is all over the runtile screen .
It really goes on and off , causing spark timing to be very erratic .

We've tried this with two different edis modules , and two different jolt's .
Both act thesame way .

Then we tried Bruce bowling's vr stimulator .
No result , tach is still all over the place .

Suggestions welcome

Thx

Pat

Any suggestions .

Coil Ungrounded?

Seems to me if you didn't ground the spark plug wire circiuts, you'd have a mess. I might be wrong here though. Quintin

Also - do you get erratic behavior with no MJLJ/Stimulator, using the default EDIS timing of 10 degrees?
