Do you think the tacho output on the V3 board will be up to triggering 2 tachometers? In the Capri I have the O.E tacho and one I designed and made at home.

I have tested this digital one at work and it'll still run off an sq wave input of 6 volts, but under that it reads wrong.
If it won't run it, I suppose I could still use the tach output on the EDIS or the diode circuit on the coil pack.
If it will run off the MJLJ unit I'll be happy as it doesn't like the coil-ve at the moment...
For limited info on this rev counter project, and a small video of it running, visit: http://www.ford-capri.fsnet.co.uk/white ... ounter.htm
Tacho output... will it run 2 tachos

Probably not, but just like
Probably not, but just like anything else a circuit to split and amplify signal could be build.
Ask around the guy who build that project. I'm looking for someone to add a serial or USB interface to GTech Pro, the first version of it, since they are very cheap, around $30. I could then combine tuner with accelerometer readings, to make tuning a snap.
I know there are accelerometers out there to connect to PC, but they cost a lot of money. First gen GTech is very cheap and very available now.

I would expect it to.
The tacho signal is usually a digital signal that can drive many loads. Most modern tachos have a high input resistance, and shouldn't load up the signal. I'd definitely just try it.

I designed and built it
and it will run off the contact breakers etc. I'll have to see how small a signal it will actually work from. As you say... i'll just have to try it... Shouldn't be too difficult to build a small amplifier module to up the power from the tacho output though.
Cheers for the quick replies.

That looks LOVERLEY

Fancy making another ? ( for a V8 MJ EFI )
If so how much and where are you !
