The circuit made for connecting a tachometer that needs the HV kickback pulse also contain a Zenerdiode.What is the purpose for that zener?
Can i skip it and only use the 2pcs of 1N4004??
Would it work with a 36V zener?(as i have one available)

Tested with the 36V and it

Is it to limit the HV pulses to the tacho?
