Inverter
Are you using an inverter to power the computer?
Apologies for the late follow-up!
It's more likely the electrical changes you made contributed to resolving the problem, rather than software.
At first I was going to suggest the following to determine why communication was lost:
1. Is the MJLJ still operational when the engine is running? Check to make sure the timing is still being modified while varying engine RPM.
2. RFI interference from the ignition system. Marginal ignition wires and/or wires that don't suppress RFI can cause disruptions in communications. Check these components.
In your case it seems that you improved the power supply to system, somehow. Could you elaborate on what you did? Larger gauge wiring? Switched to a different circuit? Improved ground?
Regards,

Regards,
i think that my major problem was that i was running it all of the original coil power wire. this wire i have been told by my father that is a mechanic is a resistor wire or has a resistor in it somewhere. so all i did was put the wire that used to go to the coil to a relay and then ran the power wires that i had originally installed to run the mjlj and the edis and coil from the relay giving me a good strong 12v circuit
