Glad you got your unit communicating!
We run a Megasquirt 1.0, which didn't control spark at the time we installed it. We have it working in tandem with the Megajolt Lite Jr. In this mode, you simply feed the TACH OUT signal from the MJLJ into the TACH IN of the megasquirt- very easy.
Current versions of Megasquirt can be made to support ignition as well as fuel, with support for the EDIS module, but I can't comment further as I don't have experience in that area.
