So long as the orientation is close to square in the plane it's mounted you'll be able to re-map accelerometer / gyro channels using the configuration page. In the future, we will be adding an auto-learn mechanism for detecting orientation.
The default mounting is upright with the green plug pointing forward. Let us know what the preferred vertical orientation is and we'll help you re-map the channels.

Hey Brent,
Thanks for the prompt reply. The preferred orientation is with the LEDs up.
Thanks again,
Jason

Got it. what are the other orientations- which way would the label face- left, right, forwards, backwards?

Hi -
Here you go:
X: Physically mapped to X. Orientation: Normal
Y: Physically mapped to Z: Orientation: Normal
Z: Physically mapped to Y: Orientation: Normal
Yaw: Physically mapped to Roll: Orientation: Normal
Pitch: Physically mapped to Pitch: Orientation: Normal
Roll: Physically mapped to Yaw: Orientation: Normal
Hope you can visualize how the mapping and swapping of channels works for the orientation you're wanting. The default mapping with the green terminal block facing forward and label pointing up, the mapping is
X: side-side g-force
Y: forward / aft g-force
Z: up/down g-force
Yaw: rotation (like understeer/oversteer)
Pitch: forward / aft brake dive / accelartion
Roll: side-side lean in corners.
Hope that helps!

That makes sense. Thanks Brent!
