The software has been tested on Windows 98 and 95 - so it should work fine. depending on the speed of your processor the 3D view might be a bit slow.

Does your existing laptop have a serial port built-in?

yes it has a serial & usb, i think i have v3.0 software, i should chk really, thats good news to me that it'll run on older versions of windows :) i have to make a bracket for my vr sensor, i'm just getting all the parts & hardware/software ready, i'll attempt to install it & get it running over a weekend, i have a really old laptop but its real old p75, i think i'll try to get a better cheapo laptop frm egay! i also thought that even if my laptop battery is rubbish i can use a 230v adapter in the car from the battery then i have no power worries for mapping etc

Yes - you have V3.2.1 software in the MJLJ and the V3.2.1 Configurator...the latest :)

Will be interested in some pics of your pully/trigger wheel - the supplier in the UK that was making bespoke units doesn't do so any more, so an often asked question is how to mount a trigger wheel on a Mini

:D hello hello martin, progress is slow but i'm getting closer, the wheel i got for mine was from carl austin of force racing! he machined on the same spec as the type that are'nt done anymore but i think he'll do them for the same price if you have a mini damper pulley, the other option was i was going to use a ford trigger wheel as others have done & either weld it to the pulley or machine the pulley so it was a super tight interferance fit!

a pic on my pulley!

the Goo! on the pulley is a special rubber glue that i put on for safety! the rubber on these pulleys is old & mine was in ok condition so i applied this rubber glue as a saftey measure really, the pulley has been re-balanced after so should work well
