Ignition map question

Hi Brent.

I look at the screen shots from the configuration program and I tried to find the answear in here and by reading the source (I'm a tad rusty so I didn't quite follow it).

My qestion is:
lets say you have 2250rpm on the engine and according to the configuration program you have 20adv on 2000rpm and 30adv on 2500rpm, what value is sent to the EDIS? 20adv? 25adv? or 30adv?

If I followed it correctly is would be on 20 right?
If this is the case wouldn't the ignition table be a bit jumpy?

Best regards
The Swede

its digital with no interpolation

it would be a bit jumpy if you went up 10deg in 500 rpm! the 10 bins are there to create a smoother transition between rpms. but yes it stays at (x)deg until it reaches an rpm where there is a new (x)deg timing value, there is no interpolation between change points. that would be very nice to have. however in practice the jumping to different ignition timings at the different rpm's works well.
