Workbench testing question ?

Hello,

I just assembled my controller. Everything works so far on my desktop.

But one question is left.

I can see on the gauge, how the MAP signal changes. But the Ignition advance gauge, stays always on the value of left upper value. It don't care about the Map value.

Is this normal when the engine is off ?

Cheers

Hi, yes this is the expected behaviour. When rpm<457, it will always use the upper left cell, which allows you to set a 'cranking' advance value in this cell (6 degress in your case). When rpm>457, it will respond as expected to the MAP value.
P.S. It also looks like you need to select 'MAP' (rather than 'TPS') under the 'tools->configurator options' menu.

Many Thanks,

O.k, this is confusing. A extra cranking value whould be more logical.

What is your engine?
To see the configuration you are using.

Hello Salamander,

I'm building a Datsun 240Z engine with triple weber. (10.5:1 with valve job and 290 degree cam.)

But the first step will be to fit everything on my stock engine.
