race applications?

what is the maximum revs that the edis/mjlj system can tolerate, and still be useable/stable?
my boss has a single seater race car, and is wondering if the mjlj will be good for 10000rpm (4 cylinder)
anyone any experience/comments?
(from the trigger-wheels.com site, the trigger wheels/VR sensor are good for 20000+rpm)

The primary limitation will be the Ford EDIS module. Personally, I have tested it on a live engine to 8000 RPM. Others have reported 9K RPM; I don't know of a Ford EDIS installation at 10K RPM. If anyone else here has tested it beyond 8000, please give your feedback. Note, the MJLJ firmware allows mapping up to 10K RPMs.
I will have to check my bench-testing notes to see how the EDIS module behaves at high RPMs.
With a wasted spark setup you'll have about 3ms max coil dwell time at 10K RPMs - a true sequential coil on plug setup will get you the max dwell time possible at those elevated RPMs.

Not really. My stimulator goes up to 8700 RPM, not higher. I'm building a separate bench which will be capable of > 10K RPMs for Megajolt2, which will offer a good comparison against my EDIS reference.

My testbench goes up beyond 25000rpm but the EDIS modules drop out way before that!
For EDIS8 the rev limit varies for each part number, the lowest we've come across is 6600, the highest 7100.
EDIS-6 numbers I don't have to hand but last time I tested some EDIS-4 modules they topped out at about 8400rpm.
The sensors and trigger wheels (ours at least) are well up to supporting much higher speeds, 25000rpm is no problem for the Ford VR sensors. See
