sorry, don't know the ID, enough to clear the chain housing

it's bolted to the 3 small holes you have when you remove the stamped metal part from the back of the pulley
its made out of a Ford Sierra pulley, lathed to fit exactly to the Mini pulley

fitted it looks like this

i got my trigger wheel (ring gear style) from www.trigger-wheels.com and got my pulley machined to suit it with the dimensions of the pulley i received. similar to this:-

where it says 92h6 is that the internal diameter ? so its 92 mm
sorry about all this.

the one i bought was the 5.125" with 4" hole, so the bit that says 92h6 i got machined to a tad under 4", and the depth about 4.5mm so that the seated ring gear was a touch proud of the pulley. this gave me something to clamp down onto with my m3 screws.

i have started looking at fitting the pulley, so i sorted the pulley out from my box and i think its the wrong type is there 2 types of pulley on the mini?

yes there are more than one. the most common one are a pressed steel one, used with small bore engines and one with a thick damper, used with 1300ccm engines.

oki iv got the pressed one, how do you go about fitting the wheel to this as there are no flat sides?

thanks for your help.

i've done this once, just welded it to the outer edge of the pulley and removed a lot of material from the inside.
my blank triggerwheels centers at the middle of the pulley, the part that fits the crankshaft, don't know how its called.

sorry, didn't have pics

here are a few pics of my wheel...

first get the pulley machined, needs to be a nice fit, and the recess slightly shallower than the wheel thickness (i had mine done 4.5mm, and wheel is 5mm)

Then drill and tap 4 holes to clamp the ring.
