Hi I've just been given a ford esc ignition control box.
It has a vacuum take off going straight into the control unit.

Is this unit suitable for use with MJLJ?

I'm guessing not.

Thanks

Hi - 'fraid not. You need a standard EDIS-4, EDIS-6 or EDIS-8.

You might be able to open it up and salvage the MAP sensor though.

don't think so, Ford map sensors normally produce a frequency not a voltage

standard ford map sensors use a similar freescale unit to that of the MJLJ, BUT it is the non ported type and is sealed in the ford unit. There is also a PIC in there which must do the conversion to a frequency.
