Hi,
I have installed EDIS with this trigger wheel: http://www.inet.hr/~artst/msavr/remenica1.jpg (one of the tooths was grind off afther the picture) and it works great in limp mode and it is rock steady at 10°BTDC, but I have a problem with geting it to change angle. Sometimes it works OK but most of the time it doesn't (it is at 10° no mather what is the value in table). I have check all the wires and they are OK, but I didn't put shielded wires. Could this be a problem, or the problem is in custom trigger wheel (it revs with no problem in limp mode)?
thanks,
Tonci
problem with SAW signal

i'm not suprized
you just wont get a clean signal with that set up you need a proper type of wheel
But it does work in limp mode
But it does work in limp mode, are you shore that that is the problem? I have good rpm reading.
Mr. Limpet
If you get normal engine operation fixed at 10, then the trigger wheel and pickup are OK. If they were bad, it wouldn't run at all, or would miss and knock as you rev. So the problem is with the wiring to the controller, or the controller itself. If it works some of the time, you need to figure out what the conditions are when it does work, to try and get a clue as to what is causing it to not work. Think Temperature, Vibration, Electrical Noise, Loose Connections, Poor power and ground, etc.
Can you communicate with the controller by computer, when it is installed in the car?
The EDIS may be faulty, and quit taking input from the controller, but this is unlikely.

Yes I can communicate with co
Yes I can communicate with computer and it even shows that it is changing angle with engine rpm. I have measured voltage on saw output and it is changing in relation with angle that I can see on computer, but engine angle is allways at 10°BTDC. So it is probably EDIS modul right?
Ever figure this out?
Tonci,
I am getting the exact same issue as you. It stays at 10 deg BTDC while the runtime is showing the pointer all over the chart.

How did you get on
I would seem to have the same problem, with the advance constantly at 10 degrees and the runtime showing ok. What problem did you find with your system.
How did you fix your advance problem?
Hi guys,
I'm having the same problem, can you please tell me how you fixed it?
