Just ordered a megajolt which I'm gonna set up on a VW 1800 DX engine. It will be minus the injection system and running a dmtl weber..... I've trawled the net and and can find next to no VW installations and NO VW maps..... concerned just a little. Anyone point me in the right direction or give me some links.

This map might be useful:

I think other VW users might be able to contribute their Ignition Maps as well.
Also, the default map installed on the unit may work well as a starting point- you can use it to tune from there.
*** FYI- I also edited the title of your post to be more descriptive, which should help draw in those who can help. It's good forum etiquette.

Brent, I think he's got an inline 4 waterpumper, not an aircooled boxer.
I took my dizzy and wrote down the existing advances at every 500 rpm, and went from there. Of course, my distributor was centrifugal only, so it was easy.
Steve, does your distributor have a vac advance? Is the engine still running on the distributor?

not 100% sure as I not got the engine in my garage as yet but I think it'll be a vacuum advance type. Its a common vw engine so I would have thought someone has fitted MJ with some success. I've got plenty of time so I guess something will come up on the mapping front.
