Where is the best place for my MAP take off on a n Edlerbrock 500 carb and manifold. I seem to have two ( different ) Vacuum ports for the dizzy advance, a take off point at the top of one of the runners on the manifold or a power port on the card for brake boost.
I was planning to us ethe take off point on the manifold but now thinking about the other possiblities.

hi paul
Was it you who emailed me??
you will want to take one which isn't affected by the carb butterfly when shut ie its not on the atmospheric side but on the manifold side to create a vacuum. From your description the brake boost on the carb should be fine, as would the port off the manifold as long as the manifold converges from all the ports of the cylinder head to a central point before the carb.
Thats my two pence worth, hope it helps,
